It's Halloween season, and good, Godly Christians have the conundrum on our hands of what to do during this season. Is it a harmless cultural holiday, invented by marketing companies to sell candy? Is it the modern vestige of ancient pagan worship that invites demons into the heart with every trick and treat?
I recently heard a great sermon from Terrel Eggers, the pastor of my hometown church back in Nacogdoches, Texas where my parents still attend. Terrel explains how we ended up with the modern version of Halloween we have today and what we should do about it. I found myself agreeing with nearly everything he preached, and I was glad he went through the trouble to put all of the nuanced thoughts together like that.
Be prepared for toes to be stepped on and sacred cows to be slaugtered!
Enjoy!
