As the good times of summer begin to close, we want to let you know what’s happened in the life of Wellspring's Ministry Partners “in our neighborhood and unto the nations.”
In our local community, many people experienced God this summer through the teaching of His Word on Sundays, gathering around the table of communion, proclaiming the truths of the Apostle’s Creed as a Body, lifting up His Name in worship, gathering with fellow believers in small groups, using our gifts to minister to one another, sharing the Gospel weekly through our Evangelism Team, praying for Inner Healing and Deliverance weekly through our IHD Team, youth ministry, kids ministry...and this doesn't even to begin to touch the ministry that happened 1v1 and with your family at home. God is working at Wellspring in mighty ways!
Then, to think we get to be a part of Gospel-Sharing & Disciple-Making beyond the walls of our church throughout the metroplex and even to the ends of the earth AT THE SAME TIME…it’s virtually impossible for me to comprehend.
For a community church in tucked away in NRH, we sure make a big impact!
Here’s a little about what happened this summer with our Ministry Partners:
- Kairos - Ray & Diana DeBord raised the banner of Christ one last time for Kairos Prison Ministry with the Michael Unit [32 years of faithful service!]. Their last weekend of service to inmates was led by a former inmate and saw many inmates testify about what God was doing in their life because of the Gospel shared over the weekend.
- ICSS - fed over 300 women and their children this past month and provided counseling for more than 90 mothers. They were also able to give away a car this summer to a mom in need.
- CEC - hosted their annual Refresh event where they invite thousands of low income kids and their families to get stocked up for school. They provided them with backpacks, sports physicals, eye exams, and free bibles + more!
- MCWC - hired a nurse practitioner to better serve their NEW Haslet location. This location has allowed MCWC to offer a place of hope and encouragement for life for moms in need in the NFW area.
- W&O - served several hundred single mom families and widows over the summer & connected with several new volunteers.
- N2N - led a conference in the Democratic Republic of Congo training 560 pastors and leaders in how to to launch Bible-based leadership training schools. These pastors and leaders will reach thousands of churches!
- Latin America - we were able to partner with our leaders in this nation to provide much needed food and medicine during an unprecedented time of crisis. Giving food & medicine came with the sharing of the Gospel and invitations to weekly small groups where attendees read Scripture together, pray, and hear the Gospel!
- CMM - they were able to their very first Assessment for Ministers of Gospel. This assessment, done in partnership with the government, will allow pastors who didn’t attend Bible College to keep their church doors open if they pass.
Of course, this is just the blockbuster highlights and does not come close to covering all of the ministry moments that happened through these ministries this summer.
