Latin American Mission Update Part 2

View from the ministry house where the team stayed

Here are two updates from David from the final day of the mission trip to Latin America. A link to all the photos from the trip is at the end.

______

Every 2 months, the movement hosts baptisms for those who recently gave their life to the Lord.

We got to join in the baptism service in Las Tunas.

Around 70 people walked into the waters of baptism.
70 individual people who chose Christ over this world.

Each shared a testimony and then each was prayed over by our team.

It took 3 hours...it was precious and powerful.

In America, I can only imagine that we would have felt a demand from culture to move Muy Rapido!
Not here.
Every person was important. Every salvation celebrated.

The last baptism service they hosted was a regional one in the ocean - 1,000 people got baptized...1,000 individuals chose Christ for the rest of their lives...Wow!

Below is a photo of the team ministering to a freshly baptized disciple. John Giddens is seen praying and delivering a prophetic word. The only problem is, John doesn't get prophetic words! At least that is what he thought until he found himself ministering to people as they came out of the baptistry. Suddenly, he began hearing encouragements and instructions from God to deliver to each person he prayed for!

______

On the final night, where we honored N and his family, our team had one last surprise that we waited to share until the very end.

It just so happens that we ended up being way under budget for the trip. We ate fewer meals and had fewer rooms than the budget set forth.

Because of this surplus, we were able to announce that our trip was purchasing a well in honor of all that N & his family have sowed into the ministry over the last 2 decades.

It will be in a town close to his home so that whenever he comes back to visit, it will be a sacred place that he can sit and reflect on the Lord's goodness over the past 2 decades.

There will be a sign placed by the well that reads:

"We dedicate this well in honor of N and his family for their many years of giving us the waters of life.
Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.
Wellspring Missions Team 2025."
